The Nokia E90 Communicator is based on the S60 platform, making additional mobile applications available for its users. The E90 also has an integrated GPS and Nokia Maps application to provide help in finding routes and locating services. For increased personal convenience, the E90 is equipped with an FM radio, a music player, a video player and two cameras - a 3.2-megapixel auto focus camera with flash and a second camera for videoconferencing.
The Nokia E90 Communicator also features a number of internal photo editing options including white balance, exposure, contrast, sharpness, and a number of colour options such as black and white photographs, sepia or negative. The Bluetooth cell phone Nokia E90 Communicator has flash worked moderately well in dimly lit rooms at night, although the smaller flash probably wouldn't stack up in very low-light conditions. The auto focus was reasonably quick and produced crisp images. The Nokia E90 Communicator can also capture videos, and has a camera on the internal interface for video calling.
