Mag-Tek Swipe Reader easily interfaces with PCs or ASCII terminals with RS-232 ports. Its extended card path ensures reliable card reading. Mag-Tek Swipe Reader reads up to three tracks of card data. Messages are checked using parity and LRC prior to transferring to host. LED indicator provides continuous status of the reader's operation. The mode of operation (buffered or unbuffered) baud rate, RS-232 communication parameters and user protocol can be set through the switch block settings.
