The XRS model has been discontinued and the rated output of the Corolla’s standard 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine has been downgraded slightly, from 130 horsepower previously to 126 horsepower for 2007. The loss reflects changes in the way engine power is measured and reported. The ’07 engine is essentially a carryover. Front-seat side and curtain airbags and anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) are available as options for all model grades.
