Tundra pickup is invigorated with a transfusion of power for 2005, with a new base V-6 engine and added muscle for the optional V-8. The newly standard 4.0-liter V-6 uses variable valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i) to generate 245 horsepower and 282 lb-ft of torque, while the 4.7-liter V-8 now produces a generous 282 horses and 325 lb-ft of toque at 3400 rpm.
