The Xonar D1 provides clean audio quality as it adopts CirrusLogics CS4398 audio DAC (120dB SNR & 117dB THD+N), that only produce 1/35 (2.8%) of the noise levels when compared to motherboard audio. Additionally, the Xonar D1 also produces as little as 1/32 (-105dB) of the total harmonics distortion present in motherboard audio (-75dB). Besides that, it supports GX 2.0 for gaming on Windows Vista and XP that enables EAX and DirectSound HW. Moreover, with S/PDIF header, it can easily match audio and video through a VGA card’s HDMI output which results clean and simple solution for home theater PC builders. Furthermore, it also features VocalFX which is a voice processing technology that puts user’s voice into the realistic game landscape (VoiceEX) or emulates background scenes in online chat (ChatEX). It is also capable to change voice pitch to disguise identities (Magic Voice). For high quality sound reproduction, it features Dolby Digital Live, Dolby Headphone, Dolby Virtual Speaker and Dolby Pro Logic® IIx. In term of its specification, it is built with ASUS AV100 High-Definition Sound Processor (Max. 192KHz/24bit).
